Septoplasty

The deviation of the nasal septum, which is located in the middle line of the nose, due to various reasons is called "septum deviation." In septum deviation, the bone and cartilage structure known as the nasal septum is crooked, making it difficult for the person to breathe through the nose. In some cases, it can lead to complete blockage of the nasal passages. Septum deviation mostly occurs as a result of traumas, but it can also be caused by processes during fetal development or genetic factors.

In cases where septum deviation is observed, the surgical operation in which the bone and cartilage tissues are adjusted is called "septoplasty." Septoplasty is a procedure in which bone tissues that obstruct breathing are removed, and existing cartilage tissues are appropriately arranged and positioned within the nose.

Nasal septum deviation is a problem that causes difficulty in breathing. Additionally, it can lead to various other issues. Especially the inability to breathe through the nose during sleep can cause sleep disorders. Furthermore, problems such as throat infections and dry mouth may arise due to mouth breathing.

Septum deviation can also lead to hormonal and oral health problems. Although chronic nasal congestion is not a disease itself, it can contribute to the worsening of existing conditions. Therefore, septoplasty surgery is necessary.

In our nose surgeries, we take care to preserve the ligaments to ensure that the tip of the nose remains naturally flexible.

Thanks to the cartilage support we add, the tip of the nose remains in place and there is no issue of drooping, even after many years.

The additional support we provide to the nasal tip cartilage in our surgeries is essential for achieving long-term results. This way, after the nose tip aesthetic surgery, you can obtain a natural and stable appearance.
